My waiter was awesome he smelled great, I went to ask for his cologne but he said it was just bodywash. He forgot the name but described it as in a light grey bottle, after a bit of searching on Google I found that it was doves 3 in 1 for men. Outstanding service great food overall had a great time.

It was overall good. The food was good, staff friendly. A little slow if you are in a hurry.

I had the meat loaf it was delicious my husband had the hatyk he loved it. The service was excellent Lauren was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice we were on the porch downstairs.

Expensive but worth it. It gets busy reservations recommended.

Good snapper special, steak, and scallops. Newly redone dining area. Very attentive staff. Nice, just a wee bit pricey for what it is.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Works for either a couples night out or a family outing. Good service though stressed when there's a near full house leading to a few missteps. Overall a good experience.

Fantastic place, excellent food. I had the meatloaf and my wife had the steak tips, both were phenomenal. Appetizer of pretzels in a beer mustard was amazing. Service was fantastic. He was very attentive and informative. This place was recommended to us by our hotel while we were in the srea, and I thought it was just a local place, but it is great. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food!

OUTSTANDING meals, service and well priced

Went there for lunch. We got a few burgers which were good. Beer is cold. Plus it's a nice place to boot.

Food was good but the service left much to be desired. Extremely loud inside when I went. It was almost deafening. I don't know why they have nothing to absorb the noise (carpets, drapes, windows, etc.).They let a patron have her dog hang out in the dining area even though it wasn't a medical assistance dog which was disgusting.No soap in the bathroom which makes me worry for the staff's cleanliness.To top it all off, they let just about anyone take your reservation. Ours was taken by some random drunkards who came in after we were waiting for our table.

This is a follow up review. I ended up giving Canoe another shot and had a *much* better experience. Atmosphere seemed more friendly, food was excellent, and the prices for the lunch menu seemed much more reasonable than the dinner menu from my previous visit.

It was very good. A specialty with everything going on today.

Recently renovated. Very nice atmosphere with good size menu. Mac and cheese is the best around!

Love the Canoe! Great food! We love the food so much we are having Magic Food's (in the same family as Canoe) cater our wedding in August 2020!!!Would highly recommend the Canoe chips, the wings, lobster mac and cheese, the steak & frites, and the calamari.

Was looking forward to a lovely meal here. The boat house atmosphere looked intriguing.The caesar salad was very good with garlicky croutons. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles for my entree. When it came out I was surprised that the single piece of fried chicken ( $20.00) was literally the size of a flat deck of cards. When I cut into it , the chicken had apparently “flown the coop”. There was maybe 2 oz of chicken and a whole lot of fried batter. I complained to our waitress who said she would tell “them”. No one approached us and 15 minutes later we were handed the check. I mentioned our disappointment on the way out and one of the hosts apologized and took it off our check. I hope in the future the management trains it waitstaff to inform management if a costumer is dissatisfied with their meal.

Great restaurant. Our 2nd visit in two years. Good food.

It was closed...closed on Wednesdays ☹Update...this restaurant came highly recommended and we hope to have the pleasure of dining here in the future. The one star reflects only our disappointment that it was closed on the one night we had available to eat there.

Very tasty. Huge portions, small menu hitting a little of most American fair foods. Nice drink selection as well. Tad pricey and a small parking lot. The attendant rushed my wife out of a spot when leaving before we were actually ready to leave. She was still waiting for me to come outside with my parents and grandmother and made her move the vehicle anyway. Found that to be rude, would have received five stars if not for that

Capacity and parking are limited due to Covid-19, but they offered a shuttle service to the over flow parking (very timely). Ethan was our waiter and did a great job. We both had the steak with lobster. Wonderfully prepared and delicious. I highly recommend this Restaurant.

Canoe was very accommodating to us when we wanted a reservation for a group of 10. The service was good and the food was great. Every single person enjoyed their meal.

Food was very good service not so much

This place nailed the covid dining experience! Even though it was overcast today, we enjoyed a late lunch under the tent. My 13 months old daughter enjoyed the acoustics and made friends with other people dining from a social distance. The steak tips were tender and delicious. My husband's beef stroganoff was excellent, with baby onions and peas and fresh pasta. We also ate at O steakhouse and it was great as well. The wait staff was very friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Upscale American style menu in a beautiful setting. Food was exceptional. Highly recommend. We liked it so much we actually ate here twice back in October when we were vacationing through the area.Dinner - let's start off with blackened ahi tuna, followed by salads & grilled to perfection huge grilled New York Prime steaks with parmesan whipped potatoes! Raspberry sorbet to finish. Doggy bags to go. Booyah!We came back two nights later and Doris went for their delicious Kobe Meatloaf while I chose the awesome, perfectly cooked Kobe Beef Burger. Both nights Doris has glasses of Chianti Wine while I went with the Moat Mountain Draft Beer.

Have never had a bad meal here, plus they have the best lobster mac on earth. Highly recommend!

Every time my wife and I go here we’re extremely pleased, waitstaff always speak with us and make everything easy and personable. Food is great, prepared just as well as it is cooked, perfect. Recommend 100%

Our server Rich was very friendly. Did a nice job. Food was very good.

Superb food. I had the Haddock Chowder which was a tasty explosion of haddock, creamy chowder, potatoes, leeks, asparagus, and bacon. Delicious!

Beautiful setting. Generous proportions. Good but limited wine list. Had the paella. Sausage was appropriately spicy but the seafood was overcooked. No saffron on the rice. Too much tomato. Recommend trying a different dish.

My hubby and I are on vacation without the five kids!!! We went to canoe the other night and it was FABULOUS!!!! I had lobster Mac and cheese. He had steak. We are going back tonight.....THIS is vacation!!!!!!!! Yum!!!! Efrain was our waiter in the bar area. He was great.

Had a great dinner! Even off-season on a Monday night, this placed was very busy. Food was flavorful and cooked just right. The sweet and sour calamari is excellent! Roasted half chicken & pork chop were also excellent.

Best Restaurant I've visited on my NE Foilage Trip 2019. Turkey tips with Sweet Potato fries were amazing! Fair pricing and excelent view as well as service.

Took my elderly parents for a nice meal while on our vacation to what we thought was a very nice restaurant. As soon as we went to be seated my father asked if we could sit by the window as there were 4-5 empty tables and the hostess said no those tables are for reservations. Only one table was occupied during the 2 hours we were there. The wrong dinner entree for one of us came and had to be returned & by the time it was corrected the two others had completed their meals. No complimentary coffee's or drinks were mentioned even though we were not able to have our meals together at the same time. Manager and server apologized and were nice but, we really should have been comped for something as from the time we were seated until the time we left it wasn't a very good experience. Food was okay, but not as good as we were expecting ( way too much peppercorn!!) . Was too bad as this was our vacation and we were excited for a night out to a nice restaurant for a pleasant meal.

Knock your socks off outstanding! Been there a few times and happy to say it is fabulous, just like the first time we went there! Have to say, a few times in between the food was okay but nothing great. Kinda thought we may not go back. Dating back about 4 years, it was unbelievable. A few times only okay. This last visit was fabulous. Food was great, service was great and a bit of an interior remodel all added up to another great experience. Try the Canoe and enjoy it. You will not be disappointed.

Hostess blatantly ignored us for 5 minutes, no one else waiting in front of us while she just rearranged the menus, before resigning herself to actually doing her job and seating us. It was maybe 65 degrees outside and they were blasting the air conditioner so everyone in the building was shivering. The food was cold when it arrived, likely because of the arctic atmosphere. They did take the food back and remake it hot. My dinner was surprisingly good but fiance could barely eat hers. The only reason this is two stars is because the chef did make my dinner well but that doesn't make up for the experience.

Omg the lobster roll and food at the canoe is unreal!! Best place I have eaten at in a while. Could give it 10 stars

The outside of the building is not so great looking but the inside is stunning. The food was tasty. The service was good not so great but it was very busy and the waiter was trying so you can’t fault him for that. Overall beautiful place with good food. Family friendly.
